We Serve Huminity
In 2015 we lived in a world of 7.3 Billion souls. Thirty percent of that are children (approx. 2.2 Billion) – the hope for a future world that is going to be far more competitive than just a few generations ago. Of those, 267 million will fall in the low-income category; the ones who survive in $1.45 a day or less. Take these statistics in a developing country like Pakistan, sixth in the world according to population. 25 million children of school going age are out of schools Almost half of these, about 12 million, are those who are aged 10 and above. They cannot go back to school. There is no program to capture and educate these children. With burgeoning population growing at very high rate this problem is multiplying by minute.
The lack of education cannot be seen independently as many substantial problems like poverty, extremism and increased crime rate further take birth from it. The people of Pakistan are faced with a daunting task of poverty alleviation in a country whose population is sixth in the world. This disparity in wealth distribution has resulted in an extreme dearth of opportunities across a wide spectrum of society—much worse than in developing countries with similar literacy metrics. Lack of educational opportunities results in the vicious cycle of poverty and never-ending moral decay. Ruby K. Payne in her book “A Framework for Understanding Poverty” asserts that poor people have their own culture with a different set of values and beliefs that keep them trapped within that cycle generation to generation, that explains the rigidity and resistance to change and hence the decelerated process of development in the society. We believe that we can break this cycle only through the help of a special and customize solution to the problem.
